  1. HOW TO INSTALL NETDIAL:
  2.  
  3. If you are reading this file, then you have uncompressed ND2xx.ZIP,
  4. (where xx is the minor version number) and should now have the 2
  5. following files on your hard drive:
  6.  
  7. 1. INSTALL.TXT (You're reading this now)
  8. 2. READ.ME     Information file
  9. 2. SETUP.EXE   Setup program for NetDial
  10.  
  11. To install NetDial from Windows 3.1:
  12.  
  13. - From the Program Manager select [F]ile, [R]un
  14. - Type "[Path to Setup.exe]\SETUP" and press ENTER
  15.  
  16. To install NetDial from Windows 95:
  17.  
  18. - Select the "Start" button from the Windows 95 TaskBar
  19. - Select "Run"
  20. - Type "[Path to Setup.exe]\SETUP" and press ENTER
  21.  
  22. When NetDial installation is complete, you will have a "NetDial"
  23. group added to your desktop.  To run NetDial, double click the
  24. 'NetDial' icon in this group.  For help on using NetDial, double
  25. click the 'NetDial Help' icon in this group.  Help is available from
  26. anywhere within NetDial by pressing 'F1' or the 'Help' button
  27. (if there is one displayed).

  29. INSTALLATION DIFFICULTIES
  30. -------------------------

  32. SETUP PROGRAM REPORTS "OLD FILE FORMAT" AND EXITS
  33.  
  34. This message relates to CTL3DV2.DLL, and is telling you that the
  35. CTL3DV2.DLL file on your system is old.  Find all instances of
  36. CTL3DV2.DLL on your system and delete them.  Then re-run the
  37. NetDial setup program.
  38.  
  39. NETDIAL DISPLAYS "CTL3DV2.DLL NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED"
  40.  
  41. This message tells you that the file CTL3DV2.DLL exists somewhere
  42. on your system besides your windows SYSTEM directory.  Find all
  43. instances of CTL3DV2.DLL and delete them.  If CTL3DV2.DLL exists
  44. in your SYSTEM directory, leave it there.  If it doesn't exist,
  45. re-run the NetDial setup program.
  46.  
  47. UPON STARTUP, NETDIAL REPORTS "[filename] IS OUT OF DATE..."
  48.  
  49. This message means that the file [filename] is old.  Find all
  50. instances of the file on your system and delete them.  Then re-run
  51. the NetDial setup program.  Good places to look are the WINDOWS
  52. directory and any directories in your path.
